25.5 weeks
+5 lbs = 0 weight gain (Dammit!!!)
Damn! Should have known my steady diet of breakfast cereals and all things pastry related would eventually catch up on me! At least I've technically not gained anything and at 6 months pregnant, that's not bad at all! Had a Drs visit on Thursday. Blood pressure was fine and she's happy that I'm gaining weight (my itty, bitty Indian Dr just doesn'tunderstand!) She spent a good amount of time chasing Baby. Normally, it takes a few swipes of the doppler around my belly for her to find the heartbeat, but, not this time. Just like Baby's older siblings, this one was most uncooperative. Baby kept wriggling around thereby making it impossible, for a time, to catch the heartbeat for a long enough amount of time to get an accurate reading. That was fine too. Don't know why it would make a difference, but I found out the reason for the sciatic pain I've been experiencing is because Baby is laying with it's back to my back. Glucose test is next week (blech)and then I go back in three weeks. Other than the one day of walking around like an old lady (cause of the sciatica), my only pregnancy complaint is being tired. That could also have to do with being busy at work, then chasing my three monsters around when I get home and on the weekends.
Small, Medium and Large are all doing well. Small just celebrated her second birthday and BOY does it show! She's one tough cookie, has lots to say and is constantly on the move. Large has decided that she'd like to be a more hands-on big sister with the new baby but Small isn't willing to let her practice on her. She'll do fine without the practice, I'm sure. Medium has picked names for the baby and gets mad when we suggest otherwise. Rudolph Rex for a boy and Susie Tree for a girl...strange kid, that one. They're still both hoping for a baby brother, but we do a good job of reminding them that we can't pick who we get and all that's important is that the baby is healthy and yada, yada, yada.

Preg-O Update - 21 Weeks
21 Weeks
-4 lbs (-5 lbs total)
Leave it to me to lose weight while pregnant. If only my steady diet of breakfast cereal, oranges, italian peppers and american cheese sandwiches and, lately, italian cookies helped me in my weight loss endeavor when I'm NOT pregnant. Life is cruel.
Anyway, I went to the fetal anatomy sonogram on the 26th. I was worried what I would find when I got there because I'd not been feeling ANY baby movement, so I asked the Husband to occupy the kids at the mall while I went to the sono alone. All that worrying was for nothing because the baby kicked and waved and wiggled the whole time it was"on-screen". Everything is developing as it should and Baby is doing fine.
Today was my monthly Dr visit and I might have gotten more information from the Dr had I listened to the Husband and left Baby Girl at home with him and her brother. As soon as we left the waiting room, she screamed, cried and carried on. My eldest and I figured she thought we were there for her at first, but she cried even louder when she saw my very tiny, very gentle Dr put the doppler on my stomach to listen to the baby's heartbeat and then even louder when she put the blood pressure cuff on my arm. We were out of the office in record time.
For the past week, Baby has FINALLY decided to let its presence be known on a regular basis. It started quietly when I realized that the sensation I was feeling in my chest was the baby kicking. I was used to my babies kicking to get out...this one was kicking my insides. What a freaky sensation! Baby must have changed positions because now I'm getting kicks (or punches) that I recognize.
Happy New Year, everyone!
